Powder coating


In both its plants, the company has modern powder paint shops at its disposal.  There is a high-duty, fully automatic line, equipped with quick colour change spray booths in Bielsko-Biala. The sandwich-type booth as well as the power supply and powder recovery system allows the effective use of varnish and a quick colour change – time of colour change is reduced to approx. 15 minutes. The entire varnishing process is computer-controlled, which guarantees the constancy and repeatability of painting parameters, including coating thickness. The effectiveness of control over painting parameters is confirmed by the  certificates which have been gained from the Qualicoat organisation and the supplier of IGP powder coating systems.

Thanks to the modernisation and development of other elements of the painting line, the Aluprof plant in Bielsko-Biala is now able to paint up to 200 thousands square meters of surface monthly. It provides the possibility to paint with all kinds of powder varnishes within the whole range of RAL or NCS palette of colours. Moreover, it also offers painting using ATEC powders – with special effects such as fine and coarse structure, metallic effect or diverse gloss. The paint shop also makes wood-like surfaces in the ADEC series.

The overall dimensions of painted elements can be as follows:

  • length up to 7200 mm;
  • width up to 500 mm;
  • height up to 1400 mm.

Thanks to the additional manual painting line, the company is able to quickly adapt to  the requirements of its clients, depending on the scale of the order and its completion date.

The modern powder paint shop in the ALUPROF Plant in Opole is another investment of the company, which was opened in 2011. The system operated in the shop is designed for painting aluminium details, including: extrusion profiles, die casts and sheets.

Parameters of varnished details are as follows:

  • max. length 7200 mm
  • max. width 400 mm
  • tag height 1800 mm
  • weight of material hung on tag up to 300 kg

The line is equipped with a central control system to allow the efficient management of all the technological processes. Coded cross-bars enable programming a suitable route. The automatic, smooth and correct material flow ensure the achievement of   the pre-determined manufacturing and output assumptions, which are estimated at 1.2 - 1.4 million square metres of coated surface per year. When hung on tags, the aluminium profiles and casts are taken off only after the whole manufacturing process has been finished.

The plastic multi-layer automatic booth is equipped with:

  • automatic wall blasting system,
  • quick colour change system operated in both automatic and manual mode,
  • powder paint separation and recirculation system (cyclone and final filter),
  • automatic system for cleaning the inside of pumps, hoses and guns.
